REFLECTIONS | Entrepreneurial Journey

I wanted to share some thoughts on my (just kicked off) entrepreneurial experience. 😃🚀✨

As a teenager, I thought I just had to work hard to finish school and be happy forever. 😅

Of course, soon I realized that, well, it's a lifelong race and a marathon. We are forever in a race toward something, now, what exactly? The answer makes a huge difference in people's lives.

Unfortunately, I lost my parents at a young age but I was lucky enough to experience life with them and be guided toward education, effort, and personal and professional development. 💝

Despite the difficult time during COVID-19, I could heal. I lost not only my parents but also a part of me, a memory that remains in the Dominican Republic, my friends and relatives, a life that was meant to be but I guess will never happen, at least not as commonly thought.

Of course, finishing my PhD was a unique experience in my life, it was a significant moment for which I worked so hard and I was so glad to successfully complete it. Similarly, becoming a German citizen was like a rebirth for me, I became a new person at 29 years old. Marrying, getting a new name, and then divorcing also shaped my life.

Then, I felt so special when I started working for a Fortune 500 company, and my desk was in one of the most prestigious buildings in Zurich, a city of high regard worldwide. That was really an accomplishment. I was literally in the clouds. 😌🙏🏾✨

I started a new chapter in my life as an entrepreneur at 35. I have initiated this journey with very limited resources and under very dire circumstances, however, I do not stop to recognize the unique and amazing opportunity this is.

I have noticed that building a business gives people one of the most important "keys" to society. For a long time, I planned to join a company and contribute to its purpose, but once you start a business, YOU create the goals that directly shape society. This is a huge responsibility, but it is also very special and I appreciate this opportunity of life. 💗

When I received my first business card with my name printed on it and a very fancy black-goldish color, I felt like "OMG" this is happening!! 😁

I recently joined very distinguished organizations for entrepreneurs & investors here in Switzerland and in Germany, and I was thinking "WOW", This is the "edge" of "it", "This is part of the stratosphere"??!! 😅

In summary, the message that I want to convey is that we need to dare to dream and have the courage to realize our aspirations. There will never be a perfect time to be an entrepreneur or become who we want to be or what we want to achieve. We just have to go for it and do our best to succeed! And if we "don't", have the attitude to learn from it and try again but with more experience. 😄

I wish everyone a great weekend and if you are interested in discussing entrepreneurial ideas, please do not hesitate to contact me at www.atabeyx.com.

Warm regards,
Johanny
